Ferryman's traditions will be looked after along the river Weser: Ferries with a long tradition take you from one bank to the other.

Bad Oeynhausen (district Rehme):
Passenger ferry Amanda, operating since 1988.

Beverungen (district Wehrden):
Passenger ferry (Gierseil) mentioned for first time in the year 1875. The operator of the ferry is the city Beverungen, its operating time is from May to September, daily from 10 a.m. - 12 a.m. and from 1 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Beverungen (district Herstelle-Würgassen):
Passenger ferry (Gierseil) mentioned for the first time in the year 1432. The operator is the city Beverungen and its operating time is from May to September from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bodenfelde (district Wahmbeck):
Car and passenger ferry, operating since 1900. In use from March till the end of October.

Emmerthal (district Grohnde):
Car and passenger ferry, located at the Grohnde ferry boat-house. Operating since 1633. The operator is the municipality Emmerthal and its operating time is from Tuesday till Saturday from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. and the lunch break is from 12 a.m. till 1 p.m.

Emmerthal (district Hajen):
Car and passenger ferry, operating since 1389. Its operator municipality is Emmerthal. You can get more information on request.

Hann. Münden (district Hemeln):
Car and passenger ferry, operating since 1946. The operator is the city Hann. Münden.

Hess. Oldendorf (district Großenwieden):
Car and passenger ferry, operating since 1617. The operator is the administrative district Hameln-Pyrmont and its operating time is from April till October from 7 a.m. till 7 p.m., on Sundays and on bank holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The lunch break is from 12 a.m. till 1 p.m.

Holzminden (district Grave):
Passenger ferry. You can get more information from the ferry club Grave.

Holzminden (district Heinsen):
Weser-engine-passenger-ferry Heinsen.
The operator is the development association “Passenger ferry Heinsen” which is an registered association.

Polle:
Car and passenger ferry, operating since 1905. The operator is the family Winter in 4th generation. You can get more information via phone: 05535/8416. Its operating time is from Monday till Friday from 7.30 a.m. till 7 p.m., on Saturday from 8 a.m. till 7 p.m., on Sunday from 9 a.m. till 7 p.m.

Porta Westfalica (district Veltheim): Passenger ferry, in use from April till October. Its operating time on Saturday, on Sunday and on bank holidays is from 10 a.m. till 7 p.m.

Wahlsburg (district Lippoldsberg):
Car and passenger ferry, mentioned for the first time in the year 1300. Its operator is the municipality Wahlsburg.
