Höxter belongs to the Weser places with the most striking buildings in the style of the weser renaissance like the historical city hall and the Dechanei.

A few steps form Höxter, you will find the Castle Corvey which is one to the most significant buildings of the Weserbergland. Beside the constant exhibitions special exhibitions take place on castle Corvey several times per year.
The castle is a place for numerous concerts and events like the "Antique Days" or the "park and garden festival".
A Christmas fair takes place every year on the 1st weekend of advent. The Corveyer music weeks in the months May and June are very famous even beyond the region.
